Woodward Public Schools has a proposed $6.5 million bond issue that will go towards improvements in the arts, academics and athletics. It will be put to a vote this Tuesday, April 3.
If passed, it would provide renovations to the Middle School and High School auditoriums, improvements to the Middle School Fine Arts and Consumer Sciences and would update athletic facilities, which would include a new 8-lane track, a new field house with locker rooms and FieldTurf to increase the number of events at Boomer Stadium.
Another bond issue for $500,000 would replace older school buses and transportation vehicles.
The school has also provided a video with testimonials from Superintendent Kyle Reynolds, teachers in the school district and members of the community.
Sharon-Mutual schools also has a bond issue on the ballot. If passed, $23.6 million would towards a new sports complex, renovations to the current schools and gymnasium.
