Woodward Schools Closed Wednesday as Statewide Teacher Walk out Continues

Posted on

After holding classes Monday while sending over 40 teachers to the Oklahoma Capitol for the first day of the teacher walkout, Woodward Public Schools had to close schools Tuesday after the school did not have enough substitutes as the number of teachers looking to go to Oklahoma City nearly doubled.

As the teacher walk out enters its third day Wednesday, Woodward will once again be closed as support for the walkout continues.

ACT testing for juniors went on as scheduled Tuesday. All athletic events and practices will continue as scheduled.
